FPSE's First Green Building: Developers plan to renovate 4512 Manchester as the first "green" building in the community. Other projects recently reviewed by the Development Committee include a new retail/office building at 4542-44 Manchester, the renovation of apartments on Oakland and several residential and retail renovations. Grove CID: A Community Improvement District for Manchester's Grove district is proposed to provide funding for streetscape improvements, lighting, beautification and security.
Grove SUD: The St. Louis Board of Aldermen is considering a bill that would prohibit or restrict many potentially troublesome new businesses in the Grove commercial area. Click here to read more.
Highlands: Balke Brown Associates is building the next phase of the Highlands at Forest Park off Oakland. When completed, the project will include 1 million square feet of office space, apartments, a hotel and a restaurant.
Botanical Heights: McBride & Son is nearing completion of the last phase of Botanical Heights. When finished, the project will total 143 new single-family homes. The Garden District Commission expects the first infill housing to begin in 2008 west of Thurman.
