Central West End Midtown Development is sponsoring the Euclid Streetscape Plan. The project calls for a complete reconstruction of the public right of way along Euclid from Forest Park Avenue to Lindell, including new roadway, sidewalks, curbs, street lights, passive storm water management and public art.
The Euclid Streetscape Plan will be implemented in phases. First, CWEMD is working with developers along Euclid to implement the plan as they complete construction on their buildings. Second, CWEMD is in discussions with stakeholders to fund the project in areas that are not being actively redeveloped. Finally, CWEMD has hired Christner to complete construction drawings for the project. It is hoped that first phase construction of the project, from Laclede Avenue to West Pine Boulevard, can begin by the end of 2008.
